I had the opportunity to present at the University of California, Davis Undergraduate Research Conference.
My presentation, “Effects of t10,c12-CLA on Lipogenesis and Fatty Acid Composition in Primary Intramuscular Bovine Adipocytes,” found that t10,c12-CLA may influence fatty acid composition primarily by regulating SCD1 expression, with implications for improving meat quality and advancing cultivated meat research.
I’m grateful to Maykal Tsonov and Payam Vahmani for their incredible mentorship and support throughout this project.
